Globalisation

GLOBALISATION: This is the encouraging of economic interdependence between countries. This involves technological advancements and a demand of labor.

Pros

  1. International trade made people wealthy and gave them diverse lifestyles.
  2. Telecommunications: Internet etc.or consumers and avowed capitalists this is a good thing because more choice of products was provided due to trade. This causes greater spending, rising living standards and a growth in international travel.
  3. Allowed people to know better about other cultures.
  4. This makes Democracy successful over autocracy

  1. Enhances economic opportunities especially in developing countries.

Cons

  1. Raising more problems than it solves.
  2. International Markets could deliver:

  4. Meager share of global income of the poorest people dropped from 2.3% to 1.4% lines overseas to low-wage economies.
  5. National cultures and identities are also under threat thanks to the spread of satellites TV.
  6. The environment is being effected with the pollution that is emitted from factories of multiple industries that were built all at once.
  7. Corporate power is restricting individual freedom.

  3. Free trade is negative for poorer countries as they try to conserve national markets.

  6. A country that experiencing increases in labor demand because of globalization and an increase the demand for goods produced by children, will experience greater a demand for child labor.
